The comment "idiot" was not directed at the album or the review, but rather at another idiotic comment left by someone who already burdens many of the published reviews; I apologize Dr. Voiceface if, because of me, DeBaser is no longer the convent of the Magdalens but an infernal circle full of wretches devoted to insult and perjury.

I hope the idiot isn't directed at me, Voiceface. There's only one thing (for now) that really pisses me off on DeBaser, and that's ValerioRivoli. Maybe you’re used to it, but I get a lump in my throat when I read one of his comments...
Besides that, I've always really liked Battiato; I'm missing this album and I wanted to understand if it's worth getting. Here’s what brings me to this page.

Yes, it's not nonsense. You can find the track on the CD "Strange Little Girls" from 2001. Among others, covers of Tom Waits, Beatles, Depeche Mode, and Stranglers... As a B-Side of the single "Strange Little Girl," "Only Women Bleed" by Alice Cooper was also released.

Since we're at it, I'll also mention the cover of "Raining Blood" proposed by Tori Amos a few years back...

Dear Icnarf, I certainly wasn't referring to the bands you mentioned when I talked about talent... The songs you cite are more "suited" to be arranged acoustically than most Metallica songs; I would love to see them struggle to reinterpret those too! Jawbreaker talks about a cover of "Orion" that I’ve heard and find brilliant, both for the choices made and because it's not just a mere copy of the original... All of this done by two talented musicians, with only 2 guitars and some great ideas. This is talent.

@Battlegods: First of all, it seems to me that there isn’t much thrash on this CD, aside from "Creeping Death" and (maybe) "Helpless"; the other tracks aren’t really thrash and probably lend themselves more to being ā€œinterpreted.ā€ The fact that Metallica aren’t at their best without a cranked-up amp is their problem. A nice song, even thrash, in the hands of someone with talent can sound good even in an acoustic version… Of course, it can't be created in 2 hours, as probably happened in the case of this CD.

And anyway, the song is titled "Lady in Black"...

It will be... To me, it resembles more "Give Peace a Chance" by John Lennon than any folk rock song I can think of.

Sorry, but if you don't know the album, how can you agree? Alright, I'll let that slide, but what's with the comment about the gay faces of the four sellouts?
@Icnarf: I don't think Metallica had any say in the production of this little disc, as it's a bootleg and, as such, often unauthorized.
The tracks you find here come from charity concerts, from jam sessions the musicians had for fun, and were not intended for release. In fact, the only track you mention that was officially released is, I think, the cover of "Tuesday's Gone."

I would prefer to auto-sodomize than listen to any of the albums you reviewed or recommended or, God save me, another one of your horrible songs. Go back to doing photo shoots for Gin Fizz, artist of my skid-marked underwear.
