Workhorse, then we didn't understand each other: this damned fucking CD IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED ALBUM BY METALLICA! The band has nothing to do with this album, other than having played the songs contained within, which were then ILLEGALLY used by some sly fox to produce the CD, at a very low cost and very high profit.

Good review, it says the right things. The problem with many jambands, as you say, is that they don’t always have good frameworks (read "good songs") on which to build the typical live digressions. Great musicians, therefore, but not always great songwriters (Grateful Dead aside, on another planet); for this reason, many of the albums I’ve listened to remain in the limbo of mediocrity, between 2.5 and 3 stars.

Is it that you have a weakness for almond-shaped eyes? At least this one, unlike Yoko Ono, is a pretty girl. I give a rating of 4 to the review because it made me realize that I have absolutely no intention of crossing my fate with this album; I give a 1 to the album on trust, considering (and hearing) other musical proposals that come from Nipponia.
Listen to Merzbow for a bit of healthy annihilation!

@hypnosphere boy: wow, what a mess! You haven't heard about this "work" because it's a BOOTLEG, an illegal collection put together haphazardly, not authorized and certainly not promoted by the band. Other than that, you make a series of cross-references where I think you get a bit lost: pretty much all the bands you've mentioned gave their best when they detached from the "Metallica model"... "Angel Dust", "Chaos A.D." and "Sound of White Noise" are, in my opinion, three fantastic albums that I listened to to the point of nausea when they were released, but I struggle to see the connections of these works with the sound of the masters, whose influence was clearer in the albums preceding those mentioned. On the other hand, there was the tragic period when all the thrash albums that came out seemed like photocopies of "Master of Puppets": 8 songs, the ballad on side A, the instrumental on side B, acoustic intro, and tracks of 6-8 minutes... That wasn't inspiration, it was simple emulation; what truly inspires you has to make you ask yourself "ok, I like this, how can I improve it?".

@Icnarf: oh my God, unfortunately I've heard the songs from Rivoli... As someone wrote, maybe sometimes he’s right too, but overall the character gives me the same sadness as those guys, lookalikes of famous people, who set up camp in front of the Ariston during Sanremo week hoping to be caught on camera; in a word, pathetic.

@Icnarf: OK, I found "Fade to Black" on Youtube, and it's not bad. Having them act like fools between songs is acceptable...

Don't worry, Rivolone posted the same message in the last review of Battiato, where perhaps (but perhaps perhaps) it made a bit more sense than here. In the meantime, I've made a fool of myself... Anyone want to join in?

Valerione, for half a moment, I find myself agreeing with you... Battiato is definitely a multifaceted "artist," but that doesn't mean he excels at everything he does, just look at his directing or certain works that stray from the realm of the "little songs," as you call them.

Ah, here we go... Thank goodness "Nothing Else Matters" and "Fade to Black" were supposed to be two little gems...
