an even weaker review than the one you did on Closer by Joy Division. The album, on the other hand, is a truly great work; they were masters in their field (without bringing in Mogwai or GYBE for unnecessary and out-of-place comparisons). Then they dared with Kid A and Amnesiac, which for me are their peak, and after that, they inevitably declined and gradually deflated until the last rainbow...

a very mundane, indeed bland review...
Then to call "24 Hours" ugly takes some courage; maybe you don't like it, but it's not ugly, absolutely not.

It's a shame they broke up, they could have still given a lot. "Space Cadet" is orgasmic!!! but the whole album is a masterpiece.

I appreciate more those who "move" than those who remain "still." Explosion In The Sky and Sigur Ros make great music, but after several albums, they are becoming predictable. On the other hand, SMZ and already GYBE have moved and are still moving wonderfully.

prog? post-rock? apocalyptic folk? I don’t know, this is music that transcends itself.
A necessary album, and as the reviewer said, a record that is a child of our times, absolutely.

a group now fallen into mediocrity, the chilies are no longer as spicy as they once were...

I prefer the second one, less soft and more sour, ...and the third one (coming on April 28) seems even better than the first two at first listen.

The review (if we want to call it that) does not do justice to this good work that sails in the wake of Battles; in fact, to be honest, I like it "almost" more than "Mirrored"...

a good but cold review, instead the album is my favorite by Tortoise, in TNT there’s “everything,” an explosion of sounds and emotions.

this is a great record, but this is not a review...
