Antony and the Johnsons The Crying Light
Voto:
@soraludovaika: complexity = better??? Antony is not a god descended to earth, he's "just" an excellent songwriter with a "particular" voice (I wouldn't say beautiful, I know someone who finds this voice hysterically triggering), but to say he has limitations in writing is nonsense.

It seems to me that Antony doesn't need to "add" anything, he's just refining his style; for me, he could make a thousand more albums similar to this one, and I would still enjoy them. Great review.
NON Blood & Flame

Unlistenable? Please! Compared to other artists (for example, the ear-drilling Merzbow), Boyd Rice's NON project is like Laura Pausini. Still, I love the sound distortion of this project; however, I've never particularly liked his solo works, maybe a little that one with Death In June...

for this record, reviews are unnecessary...
Brian Eno Nerve Net

the last great album by the old Eno, then he got lost in his sonic mantras and adieu...
Mira Calix Eyes Set Against The Sun

It's the first album by Mira that I've appreciated; the previous ones could bore even a rock, but this one is full of wonder and magic. The electronics are no longer a cold self-referential tool; here it becomes human (almost)...
Desiderii Marginis Strife
Voto:
I don't know, I just can't stand this kind of reviews.
Anyway, in my opinion, Desiderii Marginis has done much better with other works (Deadbeat, Song Over Ruins, and the recent Seven Sorrows).

a symbol of the 90s, truly beautiful, played and produced by God aka Butch Vig (who gained worldwide fame for producing two other iconic 90s albums, Nevermind by Nirvana and Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins, as well as many other bands from that era, Tad, L7, Urge Overkill, Helmet, Sonic Youth, Green Day, Soul Asylum, etc...)
Garbage is an album filled with singles that stick in your head and never fade away, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, then they made other albums but it was a gradual oblivion.
