In my opinion, this album is definitely too fragmented... pieces from different genres that don't fit together at all and only highlight how indecisive Ant was about the musical direction to take. He chose a sort of compromise, trying to get closer to the audience with some catchy themes, but in the end, it turned out to be a record that’s neither here nor there, failing to satisfy long-time fans and surely not attracting the attention of the easy listening crowd. I agree in recognizing the qualitative peak of the album in its (few) instrumental tracks, but I struggle to consider this a fully "progressive" work.

Double five. Nothing more to add.

I quote Ole in saying that indeed the vast majority of Italian prog groups have been quite unproductive when it comes to albums, but I don't understand... does someone see this as a reason to penalize a record??? As for the vocals, I must say that you need to get used to them, since only a few groups had a powerful and well-defined singer (among them I would mention Museo Rosenbach with "Lupo" Galifi, but also Locanda delle Fate with Leonardo Sasso just to name a couple... by the way, both bands only produced one album, without, of course, counting the recent releases that don't seem worthy of mention here). P.S. I don't mind the voice of Giorgio Giorgi from Quella Vecchia Locanda either, but it might be the power of habit speaking...

A record with great charm... further proof of how high the quality of our prog was in those years... I'll read the review tomorrow... Good night...

I'm not all that excited about it (the album, yeah... the review is quite well done).

Great album...that highlights a truly personal way of playing the piano without being difficult to listen to, on the contrary.. Nice review too :)

The discussion that would have arisen from these comments would have been so disgusting that I truly thank those who had the foresight to place this writing among literary cases, followed only by a few chosen ones...

The unsettling thing is that I just submitted a review in which I mentioned Jackson... and I had no idea about this review being on the homepage... Absurd...

No.. really.. Okay, I’m going through a rough patch and find myself incredibly distracted, but not even noticing your review of VDGG is pure madness! I just realized it now... and I can say I’m quite in line with your thoughts. I understand the doubts of many, stemming from David's departure, but the work, while not a copy of the milestones of the past (thank goodness Peter and the guys know how to "progressively" progress without becoming repetitive), is truly an excellent piece of work. Hats off.

Look Doc, great as always... the choice is excellent and it's not up for debate... but lately, don’t you think you seem a bit... how should I put it... "mechanical" in your reviews? I don’t know, maybe it’s because you write so many in such a short time that they almost seem to lose their value... it feels like you’re churning them out like on an assembly line. With this, I absolutely don’t mean to say that you’re not doing an excellent job! However, you might be risking too much standardization in your way of presenting the works you propose... but maybe it’s just me seeing things! (and it wouldn’t be the first time, actually...) Don’t worry, I’m fully paranoid! Paranoid regards.
