Well, "masterpiece" no, no, no... (they never made any)

Back in high school, I preferred Pennybridge Pioneers to this, and I still do, and then Punk in Drublic by NOFX is better (even now, thinking back, I’d say the same). As for For Monkeys as a '97 melodic hardcore album with ska influences, I prefer So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes by NOFX... yesss... I don’t know, I can take the ska in NOFX, but definitely not in Millencolin, and the faster tracks surely don’t scream innovation and power (Millencolin have always seemed good and nice to me, almost marriage material).

Plus, even back then, a lot had already been said by others... in general, if you think that the Descendents had already done half of what followed in the next 20 years in this "scene" in '82... no, no, masterpiece no, no, no... it's a fun album and all, a 3, Millencolin are professionals of punk rock, but Milo Goes to College is a masterpiece of innovative historical honesty in the genre, and then, I don’t know, I need to think about this... but this... masterpiece no, no, no... heresy.

In any case, even though I don’t agree with the arguments, the review is quite nice.

dotsdots...I don’t think anyone here will enlighten you about possible alternatives; we are not in an economics forum, and your question seems more like a pretext to criticize the hypothetical answer you want to know, especially since it would never be given comprehensively here on this page.
However, even just eliminating some of the steps that are performed daily would lead to a minimum improvement...I could tell you many points regarding this, but I won’t because then the matter would become very lengthy and this doesn’t seem like the appropriate venue for it. The fundamental problem, however, is that even the simplest actions to improve the situation are not taken (see the repeatedly cited story about not investing in nuclear power), and this is because those in charge do not act for beneficial and universal purposes.
Point. It seems to me that you are comfortable in this situation, say it clearly because this is what comes across...there's no point in discussing it if you’re not open to new possibilities; we’re not talking about how much a pencil costs or should cost, we are discussing something else, and it’s pointless to trivialize the issue.
With that, I will step back because I now understand that this conversation is becoming merely pointless.

I wrote it that way in the previous comment because perhaps my subconscious had been processing a hypothetical review of this book for a while... at the moment I read this, I didn't find what I was really looking for... anyway, I agree that it couldn't have been a "canonical" one... in fact, I find the structure to be very good... let's say that potentially it's a 5-star review, but then in the development of the parts, it needed to be more universal than particular to also appeal to the reader... anyway, I give it an average score: 5 potential + 3 actual / 2 = 4.

I quote OMAHACELEB... the various balances must be monitored and protected, but when, for purely economic reasons, we start investing in sustainability (which is happening, as I mentioned in a previous post, and will continue since the resources exploited until now are running out), the most powerful will have a monopoly in the sector, their companies will specialize in something, and before reinventing themselves when it becomes clear that a system is no longer suitable for maintaining the balance, they will continue to make mistakes (as is currently happening with oil and nuclear), almost leading to collapse... that’s why I previously expressed my doubts about the capitalism-sustainability pairing... this world relies too much on profit, speculation runs rampant until we reach the bone. I would never be capable of finding an effective economic solution; it's not my job... but it is for many people! If we don't do what needs to be done, it's because we don't want to... unfortunately, that's how it is... I don't believe in human stupidity; man is fundamentally intelligent, it's just that one can become dull because they're forced to or because they want to for personal and selfish reasons.

Well, the sad thing is that melodic HC, as Dark Schneider said, "Is increasingly just a melody with splashes of HC instead of California melodic HC"... at this point it has practically merged with pop/pop rock and in some cases led to pure garbage because it used to be such a simple and honest genre that combined with pop (the most banal kind) it has completely lost any semblance of a "musical soul" and has also lost many of its objectives... so the genre hasn’t evolved; it has simply confused itself with what has been dominating for a while or has become too melodic and thus has become denatured anyway. ...then yes, there are those who carry on the word, but they don't reach excellence, nor do they innovate much... but in the end, like Dark said, I don’t feel the need for novelty either and I prefer to listen to "the old stuff." As for the idea that there’s nothing worthwhile in general, I hope that’s not the case; maybe there is something, but it’s hidden... who knows... perhaps something interesting will come to light from 2010 onwards... sometimes even in hindsight, you discover interesting things.
