But he knew nothing when he left... it was truly an animalistic need! I don’t think he was thinking about dying or living; sometimes you just do things! I can't compare it to either Cinque pezzi facili (which I haven't seen, but I’m going by what you’ve said) or Pane e Tulipani. Sometimes I start things, but I don’t know where they will lead me (...does that ever happen to you?), and he just went, period. Honestly, I don’t care whether he wanted to die or not... yours is a somewhat logical perspective on the matter, and human beings can be so illogical at times, especially when they give in to their instincts!!! If I were to line things up, I’d think: "If he left to destroy himself, why not just commit suicide directly? Yes, yes, he certainly went to open up the possibilities of life!" But this is a true story; if the answer isn’t clear, I don’t want to force it. The end :)
