discovered recently with this beautiful album, and I’m already humming tracks like "Race for the Prize," "The Spark That Bled," "Feeling Yourself Disintegrate" (especially) etc. Recently, I dove into listening to another one of their wonderful albums, "At War With The Mystics," (a friend recommended their more recent records). Zaireeka, you who are a lover of the Flaming, what do you generally recommend from their production? Don’t hold back on the names, please... ;-)
p.s. review as always very instinctive, almost inherent to the essence of the music itself.

You're right, the last four are unforgettable. And then the part of the imaginary solo... wow, that's incredible!

Great review. I think I've already tasted an appetizer of this album in one of the videos I own, where the immense Ribot is playing, along with the bassist from Mr. Bungle, Zorn, and others... Two sinuous "slow" tracks and two sonic bombs of free jazz on the edge of noise, if it's anything like that (and more) it's definitely worth it. Anyway, it's hard for me to keep up with everything Zorn does. Jake, a greeting and a 'welcome back' ;-)

Almost dreamy review, a won-der-ful album. Very challenging at first, but I would say we’re on elite levels. Cuckoo madame (absurdly off-kilter but so intoxicating) and lullaby for hamza deserve a special mention. Long live Robert!!

seen in Cosenza a few years ago. Great concert. Paice and Glover above all.
Nick Drake Five Leaves Left

River Man is definitely the most beautiful track on the album. But in my opinion, it’s the most beautiful one by Nick, period. The album is a river of emotions, the best along with Pink Moon. Bryter also deserves a lot. For Nick Drake, only 5.
