John Fante La strada per Los Angeles

I had heard about it. The review is really interesting... "It was Bukowski who imposed himself with the publishing house, to repay the man from whom he stole the pen"....even more interesting.

we Pibroch, I was hoping for it this year (there was talk of a reunion with a resulting tour) but I read that Jon has had health issues and, well, now it all seems up in the air. What a shame, really, I could already picture myself standing under Squire, staring at him and his legendary Rickenbacker for the whole concert :-)

great proposal! And thank you for reminding me in the previous one about Sir Lord (by the way, I listened to kingdom come, really nice). Regarding Uriah Heep, I’d like to recommend my favorite, which is "Salisbury."
Jethro Tull A Little Light Music

What a great cover this is, truly one of the most beautiful they’ve made. I’ve listened to the album in small doses but not in full. Of course, seeing Tull live is always a great pleasure. I saw them twice in Rome, in 2001 and 2003 (and I missed the full Yes the day after). After the 2003 concert, I took a memorable photo of Ian in his car downing a shot of whiskey, lost that one too :-(

@ilgiustiziere anyway, I think the sung parts are very beautiful; I would suggest not to let this detail hold you back ;-)
Frank Zappa Sleep Dirt
Voto:
1979 was a year of grace for Zappa. I was preparing this too, but with Frank you want everything to be perfect because it’s not at all easy to say something beyond the usual "you should listen to it." Well done Jargon, you’ve filled a nice gap. For me, however, the album doesn’t reach a full 5 stars, if nothing else for a few slight dips in tone (in some parts it makes me yawn a little). But for tracks like "The Ocean Is The Ultimate Solution," "Filthy Habits," and "Sleep Dirt," you can’t help but give it your all.

I completely agree with Caravan.

Khorakhanè is one of the best things ever written by De Andrè (in collaboration with Fossati). The second part is spine-chilling.
