Intense, excellently layered, and incredibly emotional as well as moody. Truly a well to immerse oneself in slowly, confidently, without haste. A remarkable work.

I bought Sleep's Holy Mountain in '93, but I admit I never gave it enough listens. This album definitely has a certain allure and possesses a crunchy doomedelic edge, thanks also to its "dusty" production. Dragonaut and especially Aquarian have always stuck with me... and so, propelled by this great review, here it is back on my stereo right now!
