Ah, the disappointment of the year for me is The Glowing Man by Swans.

They intrigued me back when I was collaborating with Wilson; I also listened to a pretty long track, about 10 minutes, where he sang in growl but the song had a nice melody, very melancholic, all in all, they seemed pretty good to me, even for someone like me who has always been far from certain reference genres of the group. However, I never wanted/could dive deeper into it.

I've always carefully avoided these guys; from what I've read, they're a bland copy of various Green Day, Blink 182, Offspring, and the "Nu-Punk" crowd. If I'm not mistaken, there were also those Good Charlotte (I think that's what they were called) from the same vein, but I could be wrong.

Yes, not a bad idea, even though the rankings are already there (one could also do an editorial on the general rankings from various years between late December and early January, or perhaps allow comments on the general rankings as well). As for 2016, I also, like someone mentioned above, got the impression that it was less rich compared to 2015. In any case, I agree on Radiohead and I throw into the mix Here Be Monsters by Motorpsycho, Head Carrier by Pixies, and K2.0 by Kula Shaker.

I'm interested in the movie, but the review has made me a bit less eager.

I remember it as a great album, but it's been years since I listened to it, in fact, I haven't listened to Vecchioni at all lately, to be honest, even though he remains one of the Italian singer-songwriters I appreciated the most, even though I'm not a fan of the genre.

Great piece of writing, really interesting.

Really happy to see you around here again, Lao, welcome back!

For me, it was a nice surprise, after the previous two albums that I really didn't like at all. Honestly, I don't find it mysterious, sinister, or chilling at all, as you describe it.
