Okay gioju87, I understand your approach and I partly agree with it, although at least a few hints would be nice for me, to complete it somehow. Thanks spaccazucche and gioju for the suggestion.

Nice review, I had listened to the album with a casual ear and aside from a few songs I found it really bad. This, from how you describe it musically, would probably disgust me, I imagine. De gustibus.

I know her, I have "After Bathing at Baxter's" by Jefferson Airplane and I liked it, I had also listened to "Surrealistic Pillow" and it didn't excite me, I prefer other Americans from that era like the Byrds. I knew she had a band before and had brought along the two future hits, "White Rabbit" is beautiful, "Somebody to Love" has never really appealed to me.

The review is well-written, but you don't describe the album in musical terms. I’m not familiar with Frusciante's solo work, and this review doesn't help me understand what I might find there, I repeat, strictly on a musical level.

Well guys, it's a matter of taste, of course. I still prefer Woodstock to Monterey; it's an instinctive thing, it excites me so much more. And anyway, if we're talking about historical significance and myth-making, Monterey is the concert where he performs that kind of pagan ritual - memorable beyond everything - that even those who don't know a thing about Hendrix are familiar with.
