Well, certainly if the artist in question excites you, their story will captivate you as well; whether the image you had of them is confirmed or turned upside down, in my opinion. Hi Flo
Stephen King L'Istituto

I started reading King 10 months ago and I've already finished "It" (a masterpiece) and 5 books of the Dark Tower saga (I'm currently reading the sixth), which is thrilling me. I've never heard of this one, but it probably won't be among those I'll read immediately after finishing The Dark Tower (I have at least The Stand lined up first).

I remember that when Dakota came out I was thrilled; I actually tried to listen to other songs (never a whole album) but I really didn't like them (the two hits Have a Nice Day and Maybe Tomorrow I found to be astonishingly flat, some songs from the album with Dakota were terrible).
Ridley Scott Blade Runner

I wouldn't know about the reception, but the film literally brought to life a new type of science fiction movie that influenced countless people, everywhere (even comics; Nathan Never was born from writers who wanted to recreate the same atmosphere).
Paul Thomas Anderson The Master

I've always avoided it due to some opinions that focused on the film's excessive heaviness. However, after this review, I've added it to my list.
