But where has Father Maronno gotten himself? With that title, his presence should have been there.

the cover is really horrible actually, it looks like one of those cheap compilations you find at the rest stop

beautiful, a record that I struggled quite a bit to process, in fact I probably still haven't managed to, and that’s what makes it beautiful

I don't have this, but by now we can get the EP collection.

"A melancholy that washes the soul when it's too dirty" "the painful joy" I think I understand well what you mean by that dark feeling, because in many things I listen to, I feel the same way. "always a hint of hope hidden within." "Bitter-sweet" I think is the right term. With his soundscapes, the good Doug manages to wrap me in a veil of positive melancholy" yes, and in fact the only melancholic, sad music that I can listen to is precisely the one that gives me a feeling of this kind, somehow. I don't know them and maybe I'll go look for their recommended stuff to get an idea. Hi Dark and great review as usual.

the empyrean is beautiful, its apex for me, here from how you describe it has taken a very different direction

Since Black Holes and Revelations, I haven't bought any of their albums, and it's funny because they completely blew me away one summer with Origin of Symmetry. I've listened to The Resistance, but I still can't give a definitive judgment. I definitely listen to them much less now. The new tracks circulating, I don't know, Survival has the apocalyptic vibe of their early works, but this one, I’m not sure about, and I haven't listened to Madness yet.

not a masterpiece, but a great film, Sorrentino one of the greatest directors today in Italy
