James Cameron Aliens
Voto:
Not that I'm crazy about the Alien saga in general, but at least a solid 4 seems fair; the reception is quite lacking.
Quentin Tarantino Django Unchained

Finally seen. This is cinema, great cinema, 2 this film is incomprehensible. Directed among my favorite Tarantino films right away, magnificent and yes, Di Caprio did a great job.
Pink Floyd Ummagumma
Voto:
I've never been convinced by Ummagumma, while the studio album "The Narrow Way" is interesting, the live album is so-so. But, to say, I really don’t know what to make of the watered-down live version of "Astronomy Domine," while "Set the Controls" and "A Saucerful" are perhaps better than the studio versions. Overall, it’s kind of mediocre. Then again, I have to say that the Pink Floyd I love the most are those from "Meddle" to "The Wall." I consider Barrett's first album a bit of a masterpiece on its own.
The Cure Trilogy

Well, let's say that after reading the review, I definitely made a face worthy of Munch's scream.
Mondo Marcio Cose dell'altro mondo

Mondomarcio + "let's analyze the album track by track": always 5 to warn you of the abyss you're about to dive into if you keep reading.
Porcupine Tree In Absentia
Voto:
This album was also a surprise for me, a huge surprise, so much so that it has become one of my favorite albums, even though Porcupine Tree is not one of my favorite bands. For me, it’s magnificent, starting from the title and cover all the way to the last track (not forgetting the bonus tracks "Chloroform" and "Drown With Me"). It’s the highest point of the band’s entire discography, and I can already hear the chorus of those who will tell me that the earlier stuff was better, but no, here the personality of the band truly emerges, far from the prog of the early albums and distanced from the perhaps overly metal explorations of the later ones. There’s a disquieting balance here between furious distorted bursts, dreamy psychedelic passages, beautiful melodies, a perfect opening and closing, and not a single moment of pause for all 70 minutes or so of duration. In short, for me, it’s a masterpiece. I also appreciate "Stupid Dream," "Lightbulb Sun," "Signify," and a little less the albums that followed (what a disappointment "Deadwing" was for me), but this is the best of them all.
Country Joe and The Fish I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die

Hi Lao, very beautiful, I have to listen to them, they are one of my gaps in the psychedelic sixties scene, which has always fascinated me quite a bit, along with Byrds, Love, Jefferson Airplane, Pretty Things, and of course Pink Floyd, Barrett, Beatles, Hendrix.

I haven't seen it yet, I'm waiting for teenage to hear what they think about it.
Roger Waters Radio Kaos
Voto:
Well, as I said, I don’t know Waters’ solo work and I’ll listen to Amused to Death, which from what I’ve read I think is a great album (and my favorite Pink Floyd albums are Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall). However, I listened to On an Island by Gilmour, and apart from a few nice moments, it made me yawn several times, and many say it's his best solo album.

mmm yes, I often heard it mentioned amused to death teenage, I’ll definitely check it out at this point.
