Daydream Nation is one of my favorite albums, and there are at least a couple more at the same level, but I also don't like their early stuff; I start with Bad Moon Rising.

Well, maybe seeing it during childhood will definitely have an effect; as far as I'm concerned, it was a bit of a disappointment (maybe too many expectations). But probably it's just me who doesn't know a thing about cinema, eh.

I just saw Il signor diavolo (which seems to be the first in a trilogy, or maybe a tetralogy), also featuring an agonizing ending, and from what I've read, many pair the two films together. I have to catch up on this one for sure.

When it came out, it was a kind of shock for me; I had waited so long for their new album after that masterpiece '13', and I discovered that Coxon was only present on a few tracks (and only wrote one). I fully appreciated it only a few years later. The umpteenth musical turning point.

One of the "fellow travelers" of Nirvana, about whom I've read quite a bit (in "Come as You Are" by Azerrad, in particular, Tad at the time of Nirvana's Sub Pop were often companions on tragicomic devastating tours) but never listened to. I had read that this was the most accessible of their albums, indeed. "Dementia" was mentioned as a track that would have actually done wonders on the charts, if only Tad Doyle had followed the advice of a record label (lose 50 kg, for instance): I think he's still laughing his ass off today, thinking about that advice.
