I read the review with "La Canzone del Capitano" by DJ Francesco playing in the background, and I was almost ready to enjoy it.

The problem, in my opinion, isn't the number of reviews on the latest overhyped album (debaser is also a place where it's nice to chat, talk for the umpteenth time about the latest extensively reviewed album, mess around, and so on; this is also the spirit of deb and for this reason I love it, and in the end everyone likes to leave yet another comment, since no one really pays attention to old reviews anymore; honestly, other more "controlled" music sites where there’s one comment a day, if lucky, fill me with endless sadness), but the review itself, which is really bad, that's all.

Anyway, I didn’t know it had already been released; I think it’s also at a "suggested" price, and it's always a great initiative, especially nowadays. As for wow, I don’t know, the quality remains extremely high in my opinion until the last track, but every time there’s a double album, 9 times out of 10 people say, "well, if they had made just one album," which most of the time I completely disagree with. When a double album is released (whether on vinyl or CD, since often double vinyls fit on a single CD), it’s usually a crucial moment for the artist/band; they reach an enormous peak of creativity and productivity, and it’s somehow captured in that form, which I think is right. Of course, there are exceptions (the horrendous, to say the least, Stadium Arcadium by the Red Hot Chili Peppers would probably have been a decent EP, perhaps).

mm ok, it's clear that you love her a lot, but how about the album on a musical level? I've loved "mediamente isterica" so much, for me it's her unsurpassed peak, "confusa e felice" and "stato di necessità" are also very beautiful, then I lost her a bit, to be honest.

So for me, they are truly the greatest Italian band out there. Since "Solo un grande sasso," they have released amazing albums, each one better than the last in the true sense of the word, considering their continuous evolution, reaching absolute peaks like "Il suicidio dei samurai," "Requiem," and "Wow." I haven't listened to this one yet, but I will very soon, for sure.

I know the prophilax, they came later, I’ve never listened to them, but they do the same stuff anyway.

Here you go, the plague-ridden one is back, 5 in a blind box :D

curious the difference of opinions regarding this album, which will probably be the second Swans album I listen to after The Seer that, after several listens, has made its way straight into my top 20, and it could climb even higher. I’m very curious about this one; it has a structure and content similar to the previous one, so I should like it a lot. A great album, not on the same level as the previous one, but a solid 4 is well deserved.
