In the first album (of the Chiquita), melodic songs alternate with some truly devastating tracks, resulting in outcomes that are more unique than rare. In this record, with the absence of Nico, the Velvet lose that balance, becoming like a rabid, angry stray dog! And it’s pretty awesome!

Speaking seriously... if I had known earlier about the emergence of this (non) review, I would have left an initial comment thanking OleEinar for recommending me an album of such rare beauty. I'm taking this opportunity now, thank you very much! Your suggestion, along with some readings in the group (like Rizzi), convinced me definitively to give it a listen.

So, I would like to start by saying that I feel honored to see my humble (non) review published in this little temple of literary cases (which I have discovered only today); I realize how fortunate I am... I didn't deserve it, sniff sniff.

Heard it. Damn, it's beautiful! "Hall Of Bright Carvings" is stunning, and the others are not far behind. 4+
