Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

It feels like being on a site where everyone is trying to outdo each other with the biggest claims! On this comment page, there are very few constructive critiques. I wonder why I'm convinced that if this work hadn't been conceived by the Pink but by another group (perhaps a debuting one), it would have been judged quite differently. Here we are talking about a group (for me THE group) that over the years has changed its way of understanding and composing music, adapting (cleverly if we want to say so) to the era it was in. That said, I really don't think they would have managed to reach the '90s if they had continued to churn out tracks like "Several species of furry animal gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict" (as much as I absolutely adore that piece:)). I have no problem saying that in the past (before I was familiar with their early works) this album sparked beautiful emotions in me; now I consider it more than sufficient with some good songs (and others a bit less good) that certainly sounds better than a lot of "garbage." "A group that has had its time and has aged poorly"—if there's a group that hasn't aged poorly, it's certainly the Pink, one of the few bands capable of crossing different musical eras while remaining unscathed and leaving behind pearls of Psychedelia, Prog, and Rock of rare brilliance.

Discone! To be listened to only on certain days and in specific moods (at least as far as I'm concerned). "Miss Fortune" is a rare gem, one of the best tracks I know. Whenever I listen to works of this caliber (and there aren't many), they destabilize me mentally.

Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon

Willingly or not, "Dark Side" has certainly made its mark in history. Although I acknowledge that it has been excessively overrated and is not one of the best albums of all time, it remains one of the most important (and best-selling) albums of the 70s. An album that managed to attract a lot (and I mean a lot) of people to the genre (including myself) like few others have.

I know their legendary debut; I’ll give it a listen one of these days. I also want to check out their "Live act," it seems to have been an absolute killer show. Information: both this and the debut were released in '68.

It's not their best, but it gets a 5.
