And up to this point, I could agree, actually I do agree.
But when you tell me that this is a masterpiece of the last twenty years because it contains "Beautiful Day," "Stuck," and "Elevation," I’m sorry, but you’ve really missed the mark.
Rather, I would focus on the splendid "Kite" and the great "Walk On"... but these certainly aren't enough to give the album all the value you attribute to it. It's a great pop-rock album, indeed practically pop, but like the bomb, it feels too artificial and empty, with songs that U2 should never have made because they aren't U2! "Wild Honey" above all...
The classic good album to listen to on a Sunday morning: sure, the level is higher compared to the terrible Pop of 1997, but "Leave Behind" started well and unfortunately has aged very poorly. I don't believe that many of its songs will stand the test of live performances.
