Elton John Empty Sky
Voto:
I remember the vinyl perfectly, back then. But I never listened to it, so I'll take note of your nice opinion. I've never been very fond of E.J. and I admit I'm quite biased. So I'm not the best person to talk about this artist who has probably wasted his talent over the last 25-30 years recording some cringe-worthy pop that's enough to rot your teeth. Bye.
Queen A Kind of Magic

I really didn’t know the anecdote about the sax. Well! As they say, you either love Queen or hate them. This album reflected the artistic crisis the band had been going through for years. They definitely shone live, although there were some difficulties with Mercury and a Brian May that I've never quite understood if he’s a sincere craftsman or an misunderstood artist. Either way, I really can’t stand him...

I don't even waste time voting for him.

Good. Now I should listen to something by this band. We’ll see.

@ HEAVEN IN BLACK: Arena? I don't know them at all. So, as far as I'm concerned, welcome a new opinion.
Coldplay Viva la Vida Or Death And All His Friends

To call them one of the most important groups of the last 10 years is quite a bold statement. In my opinion, with this album, which I consider silly, they have shown themselves for what they really are: a bunch of overgrown children. Bear with me, but I just can't stand them!
Marillion Radiation
Voto:
..you did very well to talk about Radiation. Even though I don't particularly like it, I always enjoy reading others' opinions. Apart from a few exaggerated cases, I think many feel the same way as I do. The important thing is that you don't write anything about Dream Theatre, otherwise you're taking your life in your hands here. Just kidding, come on! Bye
The Who It's Hard
Voto:
I must preface that I haven't listened to this album in many years. I don't own it, and I listened to it multiple times thanks to a loan. Despite my good intentions, I remember that it didn't impress me much. Accustomed to listening to far better performances by The Who, this album feels quite bland. Die-hard fans surely still appreciate it today. I don't dismiss it, but I certainly don't elevate it either. As for the great drummer, you were right to remind me that by then he was out of control and often mentally absent.

@ DADUZZA: I get the impression that you, unlike me, are a die-hard fan of Marillion. I neither underestimate nor overestimate them. I own a few of their albums, not the entire discography. So my impressions refer only to a part of the Marillion era. Radiation did not convince me at all, nor did Anorak..., while I like other works more. Indeed, ranking a band's albums is reductive and always opens up an infinite number of differing opinions. What is the best album of the Fish era and that of the H era? I wouldn’t know. It's like asking what the best album by King Crimson is (who have gone through many historical periods). I do have a precise idea about the latter. BUT, as always, it’s my partial opinion linked to many factors (including emotional ones). So, just to not bore anyone, I conclude by saying that calling an album "pleasant" doesn’t seem like an insult to me. Marbles is a good album. Nothing more. Nothing less. Brave is an excellent album. The difference is all here. Bye.
