I've never listened to it. However, you've encouraged me to check it out as soon as possible. Thank you.
Syd Barrett Barrett
Voto:
Intriguing passage in its originality. I understand that for some the solo Barrett may be hard to digest. I still find it splendid (or shimmering) today.
Mott the Hoople Brain Capers

Thank you. Because I’ve never listened to this record and in past years I really wanted to buy it. Who knows if it’s still available. I’ll check on amazon.uk.......
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
Voto:
I always prefer the period from Piper... to Atom... and Meddle. However, how can one not like an album like Wish You Were Here?? But please, don't review The Dark Side... or The Wall!!!!
Pink Floyd Meddle

Monumental!!! And Atom... is no less.
Genesis Selling England By The Pound
Voto:
Not my favorite by Genesis, I much prefer Foxtrot, but Selling deserves a solid 5 all the same. There are some truly remarkable tracks and others that I like less. That song sung by Collins I just can't stand, and The Battle.... is verbose. It was the album that caused the first and irreparable rifts between Gabriel and Banks. You all know the anecdotes, I believe. Hackett also had many disagreements with Banks. Regardless, it's a really nice album.
Genesis Nursery Cryme

@Fuggitivo: I agree with you. But you know that Banks, in recent years, has rejected both Harlequin and Harold... because they were bad? According to him, they had other tracks to include but in the end decided on the lesser evils. Oh well!!
Genesis Nursery Cryme

It seems that the mellotron used here by Banks was purchased from King Crimson. The album, along with Foxtrot, is among my favorites. There would be much to discuss about Gabriel's genius. Even then, he was overshadowed by the personalities of Banks and Rutherford, who wrote most of the songs. But Gabriel's contribution in the final drafting was incredibly important. And with Hackett and Collins, Genesis made a significant leap forward!!
