At first, it's quite surprising, even a lot, but as you go on, you get used to it and it grows on you. It was right between "Glitter Pils" and "Perfect Skin" that the moment of "ohmygosh" happened and it reached a full 4. Beautiful Appe!

This time I agree with you, Fiq, but next time mention "Discipline," "Beat," and "Three of a Perfect Pair." I totally agree with your comments about the sounds in prog. Just the other day, I tried an album that was at the top of the 2009 ProgArchive.com chart, labeled with the genre "Neo-Prog," Frequency by IQ. Neo my ass! It had horrible, Jurassic sounds. It's time to change the name of the genre! :)

Knowing how to build great stuff around a piece of crap like the Tube Screamer is an art. Discriminate away, as I shoot Ten right in your face. I'll remember Diego's, I don’t believe it, but you never know if the opportunity will come to throw it back at you. :)

I don't want to get into the discussion about "grunge" either, but have you ever wondered why everyone learns to play the guitar starting with the chord progression of "Come as you are" or any other piece composed by Cobain? I admit that the simplicity of Nirvana has a great charm, but if you talk to me about mediocrity, Cobain is an icon, and all his success is due to the kind of show that was built around him: "look at how an average man self-destructs." A spectacle that has illuminated the many mediocre people around the world, leading to a mass commiseration. Feel free to disagree, but don’t bring mediocrity into it. :)

In one word... superficial? Obviously in the straightforward sense, without pronouncing the word condescendingly.

Well, Staley (way more tormented than your beloved Cobain) didn't think like you. Did some hardcore fan beat you up as a kid while humming "Rearviewmirror"?! :)

No doubt about it, this is their masterpiece.
