Pearl Jam No Code

At 16, I would have given this album a 5/5 too. Now it’s a 3.5. But the real problem(?) with No Code is that every single track shines 8 times more live, like "In My Tree," "Present Tense" (which is a masterpiece, yes, but live), "Smile," I only exclude Off He Goes, which rocks even in the studio. Then Irons’ contribution has definitely made them grow (he’s not here, though... Matt Cameron In My Tree In short, it's a second-tier album for PJ, but still worth keeping, perhaps leaving the crappy choice manual at the flea market.

I’m also part of the Robixxx fan club, but above all, what a band the Minsk are... Two beautiful albums, in their tribute they blow everyone else away (including Von Till) while at the same time delighting with absolutely unexpected brass. The Minsk are fantastic. No info for Electric Wizard...

<<<note the squeals (the classic "Uh!") of the singer, which will become a true recurring trademark of his works>>> not only that, the squeals are now also used to confirm attendance during roll calls, respond to announcements at the cold cuts counter, and to mark the posts left here on DeBaser.... UH!

link rotto :-) (the cover goes as the album goes, if it had been halfway decent we’d be shouting about an artistic masterpiece)

Nice record, but not that different from stuff like Evpatoria Report, Mono...

Here’s what I like about this album... it sounds like it was played by Iron Maiden!
