In my opinion, they took a step back; they just added some classic instruments and nothing more, which, as the reviewer pointed out, was already felt, with "You Are There" and "Under the Pipal Tree" being clearly superior. I see them more like the Manowar of post-rock; they get lost more in the epic than in the virtuous technicality (which I can't stand, like Chinese bassists on a 1:5 scale) of DT... It has a bit of a fresh listening vibe, but overall it's good.

Well, I also wanted to do it; I would have waited for the release date to feel less guilty about it... The album, yes, deserves respect, but so does Emil's work, the new drummer who isn't even mentioned. It's clear that he contributes significantly to the cause of "grace, elegance, and depth" as well; he is an aesthetic of sound, highlighting the difference with the very good but raw Hakius, who preferred violence. Rece, however, is good. Drone?! Translating the literal meaning of the word fits, but I believe you know that it is something entirely different. I will do my best to go to London, to sit cross-legged on a Persian rug and enjoy it all.
