By "scarves around the neck," I mean that indie has now become a trend and is no longer synonymous with independence from major labels, with freedom. It's more of a lifestyle than a genre. What’s presented as pure indie — for example, Doherty or the Kooks, the latest pop from the Lips, and other little bands that think they're making indie — actually stands in stark contrast to the true essence of the term. That’s what I meant. Anyway, you were lenient; I expected 300,000 guns pointed at me (as Bossi says) with cartridges full of Libertines, and instead, all things considered, it went more than well. But the vote isn’t important. I just wanted to critique a bit and engage with some people; I wanted to have some fun. Anyway, thank you.
