Well... first of all we start with "Two Sisters," which is not just a simple horror film with the sole pretext of scaring, but a true and harrowing journey into the human unconscious. Then there's "The Call" by Takashi Miike, often underrated, yet distressing, gripping, and with an ending of exceptional poetry. In third place, I would put "Noroi," already explained in my review. Fourth, I include the devastating anime-horror "Perfect Blue," which is highly engaging, and in fifth place, I rank "Shutter" and "The Red Shoes" equally. If there were a sixth place, I would also rank "Naked Blood" and "Ringu" equally.

and I didn't want to blame you :D... I wrote that comment because many people criticize my taste in films. Regarding "Suicide Club", I admit that I find it brilliant, delirious, surreal; it's true that at times it even reaches overly trashy moments, but I consider it a masterpiece of the horror genre. I won't hide the fact that Eastern horror is my passion (I've also written several stories in the Eastern horror vein), in fact, I'm crazy about it.

looking at it with too Western eyes only ruins the beauty of the film

It's absolutely not true that I like all Eastern films; in fact, there are many that I consider unwatchable... However, as for cinematography, I can't hide that my favorite is Asian, without a doubt the one I love and follow the most overall. The film lasts 3 hours, but it seemed almost entertaining to me, not boring at all. Then it also depends on the way it is watched.

And where is the fear in this film? I don't criticize at all the historical importance and/or the influence it has had on other horror films that are far superior... but this is truly a ridiculous movie, no doubt about it. A pointless horror, that doesn't even leave a shiver.

amazing! their remix of "Isobel" by Bjork is truly extreme... I listen to it even multiple times in a row. 5 for trust and 5 to you for the brilliant suggestion.

how to use an image from a cult movie ("Tokyo Fist" by Tsukamoto) and slap it on the cover of a shitty cd
