Manowar The Triumph Of Steel
Voto:
I quote: Eric Adams at a concert in '89 talking about the Manowar salute: "..This is the true Manowar sign!! ..you know it!! ..and if anybody else tells you different, you've got to look at him straight in the eyes and say: <<YOU'RE FULL OF BULLSHIT!! ..BULLSHIT!! ..BULLSHIT!!>>". It was love at first sight for me! And in my opinion, the only way is to take them for what they are: a great Epic Metal band that in the past has managed to set the coordinates of the genre, and that occasionally says some bullshit, while I personally admire their consistency that many detest!! Look at Eric Adams' face: does he seem like a brawling fanatic to you? To me, he looks more like a nice guy, one of those you can share some laughs with over a beer..! Joey DeMaio, as a true leader, is already more serious... but he has a certain charm; let's say you either love them or you hate them, but those who love them really love them.. But then explain this to me: those who hate Manowar because they are crude, greasy, and over-the-top, in a word, exaggerated, but then go and worship Aerosmith and Kiss who in the '70s had a very similar philosophy of life!! If you hate them for their nonsense about true Metal, then I remind you that in reality they have it in for the bands that have a commercial approach and are therefore false: over the years Manowar have indeed shown the utmost respect for bands like Venom, Celtic Frost, Mercyful Fate and, listen listen, Immortal, who were actually one of Joey DeMaio's favorite bands! Not to mention that his record label, Magic Circle Music, also supports several Death Metal bands, like Bludgeon! Sure, I agree that sometimes they say some awful nonsense, or promote strange things, like I read yesterday right here on Debaser about Manowar condoms!! Now, here we really fall into exaggeration, but all in all, it doesn't seem to me that so much hatred for them is warranted.. Of course, I am biased; think what you want, I will continue to listen to them faithfully, while always respecting those who think differently than me, that is, as usual, de gustibus non est disputandum..! But anyway, now and always, FUCK THE WORLD!! HAIL AND KILL!!
Aerosmith Draw The Line
Voto:
Aerosmith as I like to imagine them, not the ones from "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing"..! The songs are generally nice, and the best episodes, in my opinion, are "Draw The Line," "Kings And Queens" (though I prefer the live version in "Classics Live! Complete"), and "Get It Up," but I have to admit that "Milk Cow Blues" is also catchy.. a 3.5 for the album, basically!!

thank you all!! @Supersoul and Bartleboom: well, maybe yes, I got a bit carried away.. it's just that I adore these atmospheres and the framing really reminded me of Doré's illustrations, so that's where I really took off! @JakeChambers: muhuhahahaha!! :D @Battlegods: thank you! I would say, to stay on theme, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!

...and also "Warriors Of The World United", of course!!!

Besides the fact that, in my opinion, "The Metal Warriors" is more reminiscent of "Battle Hymn" rather than the songs from "Louder Than Hell" or "Sign Of The Hammer", they're truly amazing! And their website is incredibly fun!!
