um... it's very special, but I liked it... personally, I think that sometimes music can only be talked about in these terms... you have strongly tempted me to give it a listen, maybe later, now I'm caught up in other listens... anyway, nice!

You’ve strongly tempted me, I think I’m going to get this record! Donato is great, and I can only agree with you on the last sentence of the review: "the old school is always the old school!" and screw all the "loads and loads of gothic shit born in the nineties and two thousands"! ...wonderful review..!

Here, I think we're on the same wavelength... I haven't listened to the album yet, maybe I'll get around to it later or maybe I won't, anyway I believe it's inevitable that the vampires of Ipswich will now settle on the "standard" they identify with (but above all, that they are recognized by), dignified yet still a standard, just like they did with "Godspeed"... they'll do what they do best, probably never reaching the levels of "Dusk And Her Embrace" again... it's clear now: these are the Cradle, take it or leave it..!

Review 4.5. As for the rest, I haven't listened to the album, but from the video of "Forgive Me Father" I can already gauge what the rest is like: a work sine laude et sine infamia, as is "Godspeed," which from what I gather from this review is the benchmark to keep in mind. Then again, the genre can be very appealing and enjoyable (I literally adored them until a few years ago), but honestly, I think only their albums up to "Dusk And Her Embrace" deserve high ratings; the rest (aside from the detestable "Thornography") are all good works, but nothing that makes one shout miracle… and as for the more melodic aspect of their proposal, I doubt they will ever replicate the (albeit very catchy and "commercial") charm of "Nymphetamine"... and with that, I conclude!

If you're a real woman, marry me!! If, on the other hand, behind the intriguing nickname hides a burly and bold young man, you still have all my esteem and respect!! XD Fun reception (sometimes HPL is nice to take it this way too) for one of the peaks of the master from Providence!

I've listened to this album many times, and I've never been able to fully like it (aside from the immense Wheels Of Confusion and a few other tracks)... it's not even a problem with pieces like FX... maybe it's just me who can't really connect with the album, maybe there's a production issue (I don't know why, sometimes it seems to me that the sound just doesn't convince me), maybe the pieces sometimes seem a bit haphazardly developed to my ears... It's definitely a good album, in any case... and (let's face it) the review is very well done, regardless of personal tastes: it's thorough and well-argued; certainly, I won't be the one to bury the reviewer alive just because they aren't crazy about this album!
