@ISIDE: if that's the case, then it's a bit of a scam... well, at least let's hope that, even if the sound has been "updated," the sheet music is the original one, given that the original vinyl records from '69 (not the reissues from a few years ago) are something like 300 in total and Bartoccetti sells the ones he has left for about 2000 euros each, so very few people can truly say they've listened to them... I would never want Antonius (who I respect and admire immensely, anyway) to have also retouched the guitar lines, which are indeed very ahead of their time...

The review is quite enticing; we'll see... @PEPPE and JARGONKING: that's true, but I've heard very contrasting opinions between those who claim that Bartoccetti heavily altered the sound of "In Cauda" and those who insist they've spoken to people who, in turn, had talked with others present during the recording of the album in '69, who would have confirmed that Bartoccetti instead brought back the true sound of that record... for the rest, I have full respect for the Jacula, in any case, light-years ahead for those years...

First three works to frame. For some reason, I've always instinctively kept my distance from this album, and I now understand, reading this review, that I was right to do so. The recent return with "Reopening The Gates" is also negligible, with a sound too distorted compared to the "Omen" I was expecting, in my humble opinion.
