Indeed!! The covers of Iron are pretty intense!! Anyway, the fact remains that a Metal album must, in any case, have a cover that already evokes the power of the sound and the "fierceness" of the band in its image, at least in my opinion: perhaps that’s why many Metal covers are not liked. I mean, not everyone sees blood and monsters as a provocation, and among those who do, not everyone appreciates it the same way: only us metalheads, basically.. others might just see it as a bad taste gimmick..

@47: no, well.. the cover matters, but more as a background.. the music should be judged by the music! Otherwise, one could say that Cradle Of Filth is the greatest Metal band because they have the prettiest covers and the most refined artwork! And then, I can also agree that some bands from the peninsula were quite derivative, but despite that, we must recognize their merit at the time! Plus, they have a very passionate and engaging approach: take Strana Officina: they certainly didn't invent anything new, but everyone loved them for the passion they put into what they did! ..but then, so.. it’s not a provocation, but if you don't like the Iron's covers, then give me an example of a beautiful cover, in your opinion..

Well, in fact, Dreamwarrior, if one were to decide to buy this record based on the cover, they might be a bit discouraged: indeed, they could have put in more effort! If they really wanted to keep that design, they could have paid more attention to the details. However, I think it's also important to consider the scarcity of resources available to a band that was only known in the underground scene at the time: probably everything here is self-produced, and they had to make do with what they had for the cover. This is not the first time I've seen such covers from local bands: I've seen some that looked like they were even hand-drawn! Anyway, fortunately, the review does justice to the content!

But for the album's title, did he happen to be inspired by the homonymous book by Clive Barker, from which an omonymous (!) movie was also made in those years? (Although I think the record has nothing to do with horror!!)
