Thanks to jazzprog, while browsing through his comments I came across this, which I would have missed otherwise. Did you like it? Go look online for some works by a certain Alex De Grassi, "Turning: Turning Back," "Southern Exposure," "The Water Garden," "A Windham Hill Retrospective." Suferkangaroo... You're everywhere, you don't miss a thing, where did you buy the teleportation device? ;-)

I’ve definitely seen "Brian of Nazareth" and "The Meaning of Life". This one maybe, I don't remember well, I'll vote based on trust.

With Black Metal, I have as much in common as cabbage with a snack, but the review is splendid, full of food for thought, while being lively, ironic, and entertaining at the same time.

Very balanced review. I imagine you’ve read my review of "Thonk"; so you know I have a soft spot for Manring, which raises my rating to 4.5 even though I acknowledge that many of the criticisms you make are valid. Immense technique nonetheless, a true revolutionary of his instrument.

Here I am. In the meantime, I am very pleased and also quite amused to meet such a vast and heterogeneous audience, ranging from the refined jazz lover to the genuine metalhead to the ineffable Sfascia, to whom I democratically grant the ius primae noctis because he was the first to arrive! Dear Sfascia, I know I’m disappointing you, but I am still (bourgeoise-ly?) anchored to the concept that if I get a higher grade, I am better. My Jungian-Rogersian-gestalt-integrate d analyst (because here we don’t skimp on anything!) claims it's a "gestalt not closed" concerning the paternal figure. Anyway: I'm working on it. Who knows, in the future I might manage to embrace the one + one of (dis)trust with a smile on my lips… I’ll let you know. @Spaccamascella. I really enjoy the records Trovesi has made in duo with Gianni Coscia. A completely different genre, clarinet and accordion, much less "variegated" than this... I have "Radici" and in "In Cerca Di Cibo," among other things, the beautiful themes that Fiorenzo Carpi wrote for the long-ago television "Pinocchio" are revisited. Seeing those two suave performers live was a great pleasure! ;-) @Conte: the ā€œVaghissimo Ritrattoā€ (which, regrettably, I haven’t purchased yet) makes me think of odradek... I haven't heard it in a while, do you know anything about it? Petrin (the pianist who plays on the referred album) along with Stefano Benni (voice reciting) produced a show called ā€œMisterioso,ā€ focusing on the life and music of Thelonious Monk (who would have thought?). It’s available on DVD, take a look because it’s worth it. @supervai1986: your enthusiasm is so overflowing that I almost felt like you were pulling my leg... ;-) Anyway, once again, thank you all.

Never heard of her, but judging by what you write, I don't think I'd go crazy for her... Are you sure she's a 5?
