I came here drawn by the avalanche of five and the good reputation of the commentators I see on this page, and I must say they were right. Great review, but I’ll definitely stay far away from the album...

Sure, you are really very eclectic when it comes to what you listen to... Good job, the review is well-written, even though Summers has never fully convinced me... Too much going on... Jazz and Fusion and New Age and Electronic and the list goes on... I will listen, anyway.

See? So it is possible to write light and funny reviews without pretending to be pseudo-philosophers or trying to be original at all costs.
Tom Shadyac Ace Ventura

I agree with you that "Ace Ventura" is a terrible movie, but I didn't think "The Truman Show" was such a great masterpiece either... You wrote "attimino" in a review, and for that, you're sentenced to watch "Vita Smeralda" by Jerry Calà 50 times. ;-)

In the review, I forgot to mention that Allen had a stable trio for many years with Charlie Haden and Paul Motian, and with this trio, she recorded many albums in addition to the one mentioned. Here is the complete discography: link rotto

Thank you for stopping by, bold young men. @JimMorrison: I really like the painting with the tiger that’s in your personal profile photo! ;-) @icnarF; actually, the expression "great dragons" is used by dolphy and Contemplazione, however, yes, those you mentioned are certainly great dragons! Perhaps the most explicit source of inspiration for Allen is Herbie Hancock, while in the more lyrical and/or complex passages, you can also hear Keith Jarrett. @omahaceleb: even though she’s no longer a young girl (she was born in 1957), Geri Allen has a very beautiful and interesting face. See, for example, the cover of "The Life Of A Song."

Very interesting! I'll look for it.

Review in front of which it's nice to recycle the Socratic "I know that I know nothing," to avoid looking like ignorant beggars! ;-) Jokes aside, really, congratulations. And I join in the compliments to the editors for the new symbol of debaser.
