A thorough, engaging, and well-documented review, further enriched with a lot of samples. Chapeau.

Thank you all. @acqualife: given your funk-fusion background (which I deduce from your reviews), to get closer to the music of Ornette Coleman, you might start with the albums recorded with the electric quartet "Prime Time". Titles like "Virgin Beauty" and "Tone Dialing" are very beautiful and accessible, even for those who don't eat, sleep, and breathe free jazz. @telespallabob: too kind. @doplhy: I remember, we talked about it on one occasion regarding the review of "Tone Dialing", and as you can see, the killer always returns to the scene of the crime... ;-)

Good review, I don't know if I'll like the album, I'll give it a try.

I wanted to vote for the album, ugh...

I listened to the album. She really has a very expressive voice. I was stuck with singers like Chaka Khan (do you know her?), even though the latter has a more aggressive and commercial sound. I really enjoy this kind of "jazzed" soul-funk, so thank you very much for the recommendation. Four and a half.

Jake shows up when he comes back from work! ;-) Nice review, I also don't know the singer in question. I don't see the fact that she has released few albums negatively; actually, it's better that way than diluting her talent in a thousand productions... Anyway, I'm already getting it (um), then I'll let you know. But don't you use the autocorrect in Word? At least you could have avoided "regaladonci"... ;-)

@ajeje: I wasn’t specifically referring to you; you expressed critiques (which I found to be very civil) that I partially understand and share (I spoke of "smooth jazz" as luxurious and harmless in the review). In my opinion, "Strikes Twice," if we removed the vocal tracks, would be a much better album... In any case, this "Sapphire Blue" is quite different from "Strikes Twice." I’ve never heard Oz Noy; I’ll catch up.

Hello everyone, and thanks for stopping by. I have long been torn about the rating I should give the album. I wanted to give it a 5, but then I decided to "play it safe" for fear that my emotional connection with L.C. would compromise my objectivity. But I listened to the CD these past few days, and believe me, it’s damn good, as Mr. Interista also pointed out. If you play the guitar, you have to listen to it! For fans like Dr. Adder and omahaceleb, it’s a must-buy, even though I think they might have a bit of trouble finding it at their local store. Lastly, I feel compelled to recommend this CD especially to those who have doubts about L.C. Who knows, they might change their minds. @emanuele: I don’t know, maybe my reviews used to get more comments, even though it seems to me that I write in the same way all the time... @LaRock: too kind.
