Maurizio Pallante La decrescita felice
Voto:
I didn't know that Pallante had written an essay, but I am familiar with his theories. Super commendable mention!
Steve Reich Different Trains / Electric Counterpoint
Voto:
"Different Trains" is interesting, but as someone has already said, not at the level of "Music for 18 Musicians." "Electric Counterpoint" is wonderful.
Michael Hedges Breakfast in the Field
Voto:
Definitely a great one. Also a bearer of human content, as well as musical. A character to (re)discover. I know it's a personal obsession of mine, but among the greats of acoustic guitar, I would also include Alex De Grassi. His magnificent album "Southern Exposure" is from roughly the same period. Give it a listen.
Sabina Guzzanti Draquila - L'Italia Che Trema
Voto:
Saint Immediately.
Christopher Nolan The Prestige
Voto:
It may not be a masterpiece, but the film is really well made and, as someone has already mentioned, it keeps the suspense from beginning to end.
Herbie Hancock Thrust
Voto:
"Headhunters" is a great record, I hope it lives up to the expectations because Hancock in his "electric" career has also made some significant blunders. I'll give it a try.
Philippe Saisse Acoustique Trio Ready To Go
Voto:
Well, I would say that compared to bands like Working Week, the sound is much more "American" and closer to jazz-fusion, with the Fender piano and acoustic piano always in the spotlight.
Philippe Saisse Acoustique Trio Ready To Go
Voto:
Uh, the CD was only released in Japan... But since when has this been a problem for the intrepid debaserians? ;-) @Thirdeye: I would give "Next Voyage" a listen...
Alejandro Amenábar Mare Dentro
Voto:
Beautiful film, and a review that lives up to it.
Miles Davis Jazz At The Plaza
Voto:
Well, to challenge Miles Davis, you just have to say he played with Zucchero... ;-)
