"VDGG, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes signed with majors, had million-dollar productions, and could even wipe their asses with $50 bills." I would remove Van Der Graaf, who, besides having only found success in Italy (?), were even admired by Johnny Lydon-Rotten... and they made a live album (Vital, which I recommend to everyone) that sounds like a punk band! :)

For me, this record is pitch black beneath the blanket of lightheartedness. Franci, am I wrong or did the Clash sign with a major label right from their first album?

The more I listen, the more I like it; the Dinosaur Jr. have aged wonderfully. How fucking great is "Plans"?

Great review. I read the book quite some time ago, but honestly, I don't remember much about it; it didn't really impress me.

Beautiful! I’ve never played this one, but I remember a very similar one a long time later where you could choose to be a dark-haired guy, a blonde, or a muscle-bound dude with a mustache, and instead of a girl to save, there was the president of I don’t know what... does anyone remember it?
