I intervene only to specify that my intention is neither to reevaluate nor to throw anyone under the bus. Rotten and Lydon have made music history, and I admire their past work, but unfortunately, they have gone against the very ideas upon which they built their own musical "struggles." I completely agree in stating that Green Day makes a living in the mass media, but (as I specified) their music, except for their early days, has always qualified as commercial. Regards.

Unfortunately, soundtracks have never been his strong suit. In "Selmasongs," you can feel too much influence from other musicians, and the same goes for "Drawning restraint 9." Then there's "Volta," which is half a mess... but to call it overrated is quite a stretch...
