In my humble opinion, Van Sant has gone a bit too far with this film, getting his hands dirty with the murky story of Kobain. Within the framework of the "Death Trilogy," he delivered much more with "Elephant" and, according to critics’ judgments, because I've never seen it (and I'm not sure if it truly is), with "Jerry," which has never been released in Italy. It's somewhat of a compromise between blockbuster hits like "Good Will Hunting" and HIS independent cinema. Not on par with that masterpiece "My Own Private Idaho," but not unwatchable either. A 3--. A complete and straightforward review.

But how can you hate PJ? No offense Ashanti, but where can you find a girl who manages to change her skin so effortlessly and sophisticatedly (Bjork aside)? The album is extraordinary and she is as intense as ever, although I prefer "Rid of Me," and the review is excellent: timely, incisive, and accurate.

I’m sorry for not being able to cast my vote, but unfortunately, I’m still waiting for the film. As for the review, I don’t know how to judge it... they’ve heaped enormous amounts of praise on this movie, and what’s reported on this page seems a bit meager. I’m not being ironic; these are really just impressions. P.S: you forgot to mention that the film is inspired by the novel "Petrolio!" ("Oil!") by Upton Sinclair, and that doesn’t seem insignificant to me.

I rate the band more than the album, I admit it, since my knowledge on the subject stops at the greatest hits and another album whose name I can't remember. I don't know why, but for as good as they are, they don't fully convince me. Great review.
