I’m not a die-hard Madonna fan; I hate some of her songs and many of her gimmicks have really grated on me, so I’ll say that upfront. But I just want to point out the perspective from which the discussion around the review of this album is approached. Are you in your 50s? Retire already! Are you a billionaire? Stay home and scratch your squaccaralda! I mean, people throw shade at Madonna while maybe applauding a Vasco Rossi who performs with a team of cardiologists right under the stage; it’s alright to criticize those who make a fortune and then dissipate it into the wind, but at the same time, we expect the same from her. And then, come on, how many of you have actually listened to this album? I haven’t either, but I’ll just refrain from voting. And especially, I won’t open this page if I have a copy of "Sticky Fingers" in front of my eyes, if my headphones are blasting "Hey You," and if my prayers also include a little thought for Saint Janis. This is commercial pop, but maybe you prefer "Too Little Too Late" or "Umbrella," to name a couple. Nothing more to add. Fun review, but it loses steam with the final tracklist.

A movie and a review that matter to me about as much as beet cultivation in Zimbabwe. I vote blindly too, while I want to be supportive with you. But at least, after watching.....?

I had the chance to see this film more than once and I must say that the results are poor. The underlying idea is not bad, but it relies entirely on impression and not enough on tension, as a good film should do. If you hadn't written, in your equally poor review, that the film is vaguely inspired by "Lord of the Flies," I would have never understood it. Because the need to submit to an established power typical of human incompleteness, the necessity of evil, is a concept that I don't seem to perceive within this "The hole." The only thing I can commend is Birch, who convinced me (and whom you don't mention at all, along with all the names that make up the cast) and the initial scene that had given me hope.

Complete and effective review, well done. I listened to the album with the immaturity of a beginner, and only after listening to it again more recently did I truly appreciate it. Among other things, I understand that it is the debut, and given the results, that's no small feat.

The passion for cinema or any other artistic expression is a value and, whether one likes it or not, it is also quite elitist. No one can expect a young boy to passionately love Pasolini, Bergman, and the like, especially if that young boy adores the Fichi d'India or Massimo Boldi. No one can expect there to be a common underlying interest in these attitudes. It's undeniable that today the situation is dangerously tilted towards very low standards, but this does not justify the burning at the stake of art or cinema. On the other hand, for those who truly love cinema, being enchanted by the allure of a voluptuous blonde at the Trevi Fountain, following the stories of the impoverished men from the Roman suburbs, and crying like a child over an elephant man is already a consolation, beyond opinions and that lack of interest which today is masked with a blunt "De gustibus."
