Two Gallants What The Toll Tells
Voto:
Of course I can concede a joke; that's always allowed! In the comment, I just wanted to emphasize that it's always appropriate to include a "for me." Then I wanted to add that on this site, ratings go from 1 to 5 (not from 1 to 10), so it's not necessarily the case that 5 stars correspond to an absolute masterpiece. By the way, I was torn between 4 and 5 stars. Best regards.

Monica, one is completely free to listen to and enjoy whatever they want; there's no doubt about that. I was simply making a distinction between business and quality music. I have nothing to criticize regarding the fact that you would never listen to Battiato and that you don't like him at all—far from it. I can only tell you that he is universally recognized as a great artist. I assure you that anyone with a minimum of competence in the musical field thinks so. The important thing is to acknowledge this. I mentioned "La Cura" only because it's the first song that came to my mind that has a touching text of disarming beauty. I think even a poet would appreciate it! I could have also cited Bob Dylan, the REM, or De André. I say all this with the utmost respect; I want to clarify! Until next time.

Monica, tastes are tastes. However, in art, there is also objectivity. For me, music is art, and that of the Backstreet Boys can hardly be defined as such. It's all fake, constructed. The fact is that they (taking advantage of this) are just boys exploited by certain record companies that create groups on paper solely with the intent of making money. They just have to be good-looking and somewhat in tune. I would rather dedicate "La Cura" by Franco Battiato to my partner. If you don't know it, I highly recommend you listen to it. Regards.

Reading the review, I was living in the vain illusion that you would conclude with something like, "JUST KIDDING! This music I leave to the 14-year-olds who cry and tear their hair out! I listen to Radiohead, Pearl Jam, and Battiato!" but instead, no, it was just a hope. But then again, you’re already 23. You should listen to real music!

Music that's too difficult, I'd say for connoisseurs, hehe! The review could also be a 4, but since you gave two stars (and not one) to the album, one point less.

Such a beautiful album. Good review, but I don't agree with the melancholic and twilight atmospheres. Overall, to me, it's a sunny record.

For me, the piano intro echoes the opening arpeggio of Paranoid Android.

Yes, I forgot to mention the Doves album. That's a great debut as well.

You anticipated me, Vitalogy, well said.

The album is very good (4 and a half stars); the review is decent for me but I don't agree with Buck's virtuosity. Peter is not a guitarist known for his virtuosities; that doesn't mean he isn't good.
