Many lukewarm opinions about this album, which is certainly not the most memorable moment of Fripp and company, but I have always considered it an example of Lo-Fi style Prog, given the production, which adds a different facet to the crimson sound, especially in "A Sailor's Tale."

A proposal concerning the Japanese scene is always welcome for further exploration; there are extraordinary groups, among my favorites are the Far East Family Band and the Flower Travellin' Band.

Galliani aka Uncle Fester on the cover.

@Rocky: without a doubt, Kraut owes much more to Ligeti, Stockhausen, and the contemporary music of that period as a compositional influence, and in the Rock scene more to Monks and Velvet Underground in terms of attitude rather than Pink Floyd or British psychedelia (see Can, Holger Czukay, Tony Conrad...), but the early Tangerine Dream (in the historical notes concerning them, PF are inevitably cited) owe a great deal to the Floydian sound of the treasure chest of secrets, both the celestial keyboard sounds of Wright, and the Masonian drumming style; I'm thinking of "Fly And Collision of Comas Sola" from "Alpha Centauri" and not only that.

Perfect sequence of tracks, lyrics more beautiful than the other, my favorite album by the BR.

Jeytonman has simply reversed the preference rankings; maybe only a few noticed.

With Barrett still present in the subsequent works, it is obviously an unknown; he might have continued to create melodic/psychedelic tracks, as well as trip albums in the style of "Interstellar Overdrive." However, I believe that the Floydian sound resulting from his detachment from the Band is even better. I think that the Kraut keyboardists have carried on Wright's keyboard sound; compositionally, they have doubled it several times, but they owe a lot to his keyboard sound; Froese and company would not be the same at all.

It's true, the Beatles, apart from Lennon's solo work, are the most striking example that four minds can work very well together while individually they say practically nothing (I don't think that;)), oh we were talking about Pink Floyd, well I don't agree, despite their solo careers (Barrett aside and maybe "Amused To Death" by Waters, which while following a typically Floydian sound is one of his best works) excite me much less than the group as a whole, I don't think they say much at all, rather there are indeed some sparks of originality (see Mason's solo work). Regarding Wright, it's also unfair to say that he is the greatest keyboardist, it's out of place, yes.

Very sulky Dante here probably didn’t take the news of Mihajlovic's confirmation as Fiorentina's coach very well, nor the current state of the Viola's summer market. Never listened to them, but the cover isn’t bad at all.
