I believe that one can rediscover the "old" by listening to the CD now, since sales have significantly declined and fewer and fewer people use a player or stereo to enjoy such a medium. I've never liked cassette tapes, yet everyone should choose the medium they prefer. I find a certain charm in the choice of the record label you describe, even though I would prefer to listen to the album in question on CD; as "merchandise," I wouldn't mind having the cassette tape at all. However, the sample included in the review is quite interesting.

"John Zorn discovered it," "there's the bizarre and visionary experimentation of the early Henry Cow, and the complicated and angular geometries of the Soft Machine's Fourth." Now this is interesting, another product to delve into from Tzadik.
Dirty Three Horse Stories
Voto:
A great album, the first of three consecutive masterpieces by the Dirty Three. I don't agree with the comparisons made in the review, especially in the last sentence; every work has its own context, and that's what I think should be the focus of the discussion. Nevertheless, you are continuing with other wonderful listens, and that’s the only thing that matters and the reason why you raise certain musical questions; try the well-known Godspeed You! Black Emperor afterwards.

I don't know anything about him at the moment, the tracks in the links are very captivating.

Well, what do you know… here’s the mysterious record you were reviewing at the very moment we were talking about their label, a wonderful band.

I have to say that I didn't have high expectations for Roadrunner's productions for Porcupine Tree and Opeth; instead, it turned out to be a serious label, with excellent products coming from both bands. I also hope they continue in this style and production. The album completely convinces me; it's the work that Akerfeldt has always wanted to compose. Discussing with other professionals, it was mentioned that perhaps it would have been better to present these sounds under Mikael's solo name, given the quite noticeable change in sound, but it's better that it was presented this way under the Opeth name. A cover that is as charming as it is devilish, seen shrunk in Home it reminded me of "Filosofem" by Burzum, quite an interesting find.

A good album, beautiful voice from Ray as well, I agree with the review.
