Both Liars and these partially remind me of This Heat; I've often seen them in your LastFm library. I've listened to the tracks on MySpace and I’m looking to get them because they interest me quite a bit.
Vic Chesnutt Is the Actor Happy?
Voto:
A great artist who has left us. His voice has a bit of the timbre of his friend Stipe, but with an intensity that in some ways could remind me of Wyatt, at least in his latest works. As relatively recent singer-songwriters, he certainly doesn't have the genius of the palace-prince, nor the stylistic beauty of a Bon Iver, but he is by no means inferior.

Happy The Man and Yezda Urfa, especially the latter, are the bands I appreciate most from the American Prog scene of that era; also, Pavlov's Dog is lovely. As always, I enjoy your recommendations. I’m not familiar with these, and I’ll make sure to look them up; in the meantime, I’ll listen to the samples.

A classic case of a Band that, while varying its style, still remains at high levels.
A.C.T Last Epic
Voto:
The instrumental sections at times evoke nostalgia for the best of Dream Theater, as in "A Loaded Situation." Original and enjoyable are A.C.T.; this "Last Epic" is their best so far.

Very interesting, like the other reviews you've written so far. The scene of Louisville, Chicago, and a certain "Post Rock" from the early '90s fascinates me a lot (Slint, Gastr Del Sol, Tortoise, For Carnation).
Porcupine Tree Stupid Dream

Even in Radiohead or The Cure (late '80s-early '90s), there's something that goes beyond simple Pop-Rock... anyway, it's all a matter of opinion, everyone has their own way of judging. Wilson really knows how to work this genre in the Blackfield project as well; I really appreciate hearing his melodic trademark, and the stylistic shift towards these sounds is another point in his compositional favor.

Very, very good, I'll set this one aside too among the records to get, since I know little about Zuffanti's projects for now.

Progressive "Stupid Dream" is beautiful, it's a splendid Pop-Rock album in my opinion. Unlike the previous works connected to this one (among my favorites from the '90s), which can only be relatively associated with Prog. Porcupine Tree up until "In Absentia" produced very valid works, I still appreciate them, even if since joining the dreadful (obviously to my tastes) record label Roadrunner, they've had some slip-ups in style, just like Opeth. But despite that, they remain among my favorite bands from the '90s. I agree with the review, the only note is that there's no need to include sentences like the last line, great job anyway! :)
Van der Graaf Generator Godbluff Live 1975
Voto:
"Godbluff" presents its charm starting from the cover, perfectly in tune with the themes and atmosphere created by the sounds of the album. That black stamped with the title is truly unsettling, differing from the beautiful "landscape" covers more commonly known of the time. I haven't added any recommended reviews to my page yet; I need to add a couple, and I'll start with this one;)
