I don't know these, I'll make a note of them. La Musea in the symphonic field really offers wonderful things, it has also reissued the Carpe Diem.
Shub-Niggurath Les Morts Vont Vite

In France and Belgium, we find the darkest and most fascinating sounds, perhaps the Progressive that I prefer, this of artists like the ones reviewed, Art Zoyd, Magma, Zao, Univers Zero, and Present. It wasn't "love" at first listen—it seems normal to me—but over the years, they are rising to the top of my preferences.

@Deleterio: I got it after Schizoid's post, it was a funny joke, the title of the album might also sound a bit like Roman slang, right? :D

Yes, it’s true they are absolutely scattered, but I prefer their "scatteredness" over that of the Transatlantic (just to name one). Since it seems to me that you partly appreciate their sound, these recommended albums, especially the one reviewed, should not disappoint you.

I almost forgot, so far my favorite solo work by Omar is "The Apocalypse Inside of an Orange," but this one is a bit more "over the top":)

@fede: yes, I recommend this one as a starting point for his solo work; it lacks the instrumental excesses of "Frances The Mute" or "Amputechture" (two albums that I think are splendid, but it depends on personal taste). I don't know all his solo works, but I could suggest some others later that are more "contained"; however, "Old Money" and "Solar Gambling" are also excellent albums.

Yes, I've always defined it as a kind of prototype (which it is not in the strictest sense), as I consider it a piece that is not completely satisfying, whereas its second version is definitely more "complete" in my opinion.
Green Carnation Acoustic Verses
Voto:
I see that we are various, then, the fans of that particular album by the Swedes, and this one by Green Carnation is really their "Damnation"; this band has done more metal stuff too! :) Since we're on the theme of acoustic sounds, I also really enjoyed "Hindsight" by Anathema and I recommend it.
Camper Van Beethoven Popular Songs Of Great Enduring Strenght And Beauty

They have all the "ingredients" to please me, I've been recommended to them several times, I see that they still have bargain prices, I will definitely request them.
Ramones Pleasant Dreams
Voto:
The Ramones were a godsend for music, but the bands that came after them were more artistically revolutionary, so it always seems exaggerated to talk about "revolution." They brought back an attitude that was fundamental for the evolution of Rock in the second half of the '70s; during the same years (or shortly after) they were playing, there were already people like Talking Heads, Patti Smith, and Television. In the end, the Ramones didn’t deviate much from the usual song format, which I found tiresome even with their early albums (of course, that's just my opinion). Anyway, the review is well-written and objective about the album, and I also appreciate their Pop side in the years that followed.
