The Mellencamp album I would take to the famous island, a perfect record. I can’t find a song that is anything less than exceptional. For me, a masterpiece. Great job currahee, now I’m waiting for you with dance naked....

Letta, you perfectly captured the artist. I mainly listen to rock, and this man with the manly face belongs to my world; I can't say the same for a good portion of the reviewed artists on Debaser who refer to the endless rock family but are just any Ramazzotti, only louder. Well done, Caravan, great review.

I saw him about twenty years ago… he’s a bass player, maybe Ernie Brooks. It was a great concert, but I regretted the lack of a band behind him. Who knows, maybe in the future…

Anyway, the film is a must-see. In the mid-sixties, in a television studio, a sweet but rather timid girl asks Townshend, given his drug use, if this meant that when he got on stage he was out of it. And a sardonic "Big Nose" replies: "No no, it means I'm always out of it....!"

The best live band ever, period! Even though in Shepperton I find them a bit tired rather than memorable, the review is more than good.
The Church Untitled #23

So what is it? What problem do you have? Yes, I think I can talk about The Church considering I've listened to quite a few of their albums. Or should I listen to every single note they've recorded to be able to discuss them? I really loved Seance and Blurred Crusade; I appreciated the following production (I have a couple of CDs, but I don’t remember which) but nothing more than that. I like The Church, but they didn’t save anything because there was nothing to save. The eighties were full of great music created by great bands, and there certainly weren’t as few as you say. I don’t have lists to share with you, but I believe three letters can be enough to describe what was bubbling up: SST!!! You mentioned Guns N' Roses and Metallica, and I wonder what you were listening to back then... and who would these few other bands be that saved music during those years...

"Do we want to say one of the few bands that saved 80s music? I don't agree, I think you are exaggerating quite a bit. Anyway, I loved The Church back in the days of "Seance" and I'll definitely listen to this."
John Mellencamp Whenever We Wanted

Surely his most violent album, more like a fast-paced Stones track that sounds like Zeppelin with Aronoff pounding like a blacksmith. Not my favorite from Mellencamp. On the cover, the paintings you see in the background are his... An undoubtedly eclectic artist. 3.5 for the album.

Great reception...! I only know Chris D. from his time with Divine Horsemen; if I understood correctly, this is much better, I will give it a listen.
