I don't know if they are the best, but they are certainly the most original among the transalpines. As for French rock-prog music from those years, I would like to recommend, in addition to the names already mentioned: Atoll, Heldon, Mona Lisa, but above all look for and listen to something (especially the first three albums) by Albert Marcoeur, you won't regret it.

Brusko, thank you, I saw the concert on VHS too, then I was under the stage in 1980 in Zurich and... I stand by my opinion.

This story that Queen were a great live band doesn’t sit well with me at all; it really doesn’t exist if we’re talking about music. If we’re talking about "show," then yes, among the best of all time.

I read it many years ago, so my memory might be a bit hazy, but a "swashbuckling" novel like those by Salgari and Dumas is not really how I remember it. Still engaging and full of ideas to explore. Between Christmas and birthdays, I gave away quite a few copies.

Well done, you were right to bring it out of obscurity, it's an absolutely valid record. Since I rarely listen to vinyl anymore, I've searched for it online but can't find it anywhere.

Him torturing the guitar is one of the clearest images I have from the "Woodstock" film, and what a voice too! I have the vinyl of this but honestly I don’t remember it at all, maybe a dusting off... digging it up and the reception are great.
