Great recommendation, I will listen. On the extreme metal discussion of recent years, I don't quite agree; in the last 4-5 years, phenomenal bands have emerged. I suggest you give a listen to bands like Decrepit Birth or the latest beautiful album by Obscura, just to mention the first ones that come to mind.

great book to teach in schools, unlike religion classes!! for the rest, I am increasingly convinced that religion as a mass phenomenon is on borrowed time; I don't believe humanity will be willing to blindly believe in what, with the progress of science, will be proven absolutely false. even today, only old people, or rather old women, go to mass; just imagine in 80 to 100 years!!!!!!!!

A band with very big balls, discussing which track is the best makes no sense; this is an album that should be listened to in full from start to finish. I'd really love to see them at a festival, maybe at Gods of Metal instead of the usual crony (any reference to the various Maiden, Priest, Metallica is purely intentional).

I've never listened to them and I never will, but the singer is said to be quite a character. I once read in Metal Shock that they had a gig in Italy, and Epica was the supporting act. Now, you know that the singer of Epica is that goddess, Simone Simons. At one point, from the crowd, the chorus rose up: "faccela vede' faccela toccca'," and among the crowd that was invoking the blessings of the Dutch girl, there was also the singer of Sonata!!!
