Laghetto Sonate in bu minore per quattrocento scimmiette urlanti

"Lebbra is the reason" (in the following "Pocapocalisse") is (very) sick textual genius...

Show-off... you do the seppuku, I prefer the maki ; )... it fits nicely with the proposal like a slice of wasabi with the sashimi...
The Replacements Hootenanny

Oh, the Mats... and, coincidentally, the Huskers are also present... the fact is that I never liked the former, not even as a teenager, unlike the latter... let alone now that I largely agree with Paolo's thoughts (flat rhythm and clean vocals, but Mould would occasionally go over the top)... still, while the sound of the Replacements (and the departed Stinson first and foremost) was nonetheless derivative, the guitar blend of the other Bob was a complete novelty (and it still sounds modern today, even if it’s not trendy in an era of ultra-classic revivals). I won't rate the album to preserve its sacred cow appeal (but I prefer it to their next two discographic cornerstones).

Here you go, to lighten the mood, a nice video that pairs perfectly with Korn (http://creativity-online.com/work/view?seed=dc9acf81).

The specials from Ondarock are nice... then you go read the profile of Mogwai... and you understand a lot of things... like how the wind blows in those parts and how often they go wrong (the Scots don’t even have a single flop... when it just so happens they’ve made a couple of albums worth considering... but just barely passable, and then they would be unpredictable, eh!).

Killiher (guitar) and Dailor (I don't think it needs specifying what he plays) were part of Today...

Beautiful, beautiful... but my favorites are the Today that are more "electronic" and cold.

@Lux: for me, after the two monoliths, "Issues" is their only album that earns a decent score (but still, the visceral nature of their early days already seems quite diluted to me).

It's the only album of theirs that I still listen to in its entirety, the most anthemic and eclectic they've ever produced, yet without a single substantial compromise... Regarding the metal debate, all I'll say is that I'm fine with the air-guitar obsessed hating them; for these Korn, the term "metal" felt decidedly too constricting... I give the review a pass based on its charm.
