@47: I was saying... since Hicks also died of cancer at a young age (of course, the unverified anecdotes are plentiful because they are real jokers... Maynard's April Fools are already classics in the annals of Rock).

It seems that "Message to Harry Manback, Part.2" was included in Salival precisely because the guy who received those messages on his voicemail ended up dying of cancer (oops, here come the "meaningful coincidences"...), though I don't think it was Bill Hicks, anyway.

Thanks for the tip, Psycho... the latest from Mick Collins and co. is a Bomb (ahem...)... way better than Black Keys and their gang... with all due respect to the lovers of duos (is that why you’re about to switch to a trio format, Psycho?! ; ).

Well, the concept of "synchronicity" and the "principle of individuation" are not at all delirious when framed that way... it's certainly not the "pars construens" that is the objective problem of Jung's theory (which, indeed, turns out to be much more "analytical" than Freud's in this respect)... it's precisely the founding archetypes (and especially the recuperation of the "heroic" dimension) that appear to be "precognitive" and "agonizing" delusions ("I’ve wandered back and forth through 'Agharti', uh, let’s say the 'collective library', but there’s no trace of the 'Mandala'..." but it’s cool to write these little things on the internet ;).

@Muito: um... Hillman is, however, a schismatic Jungian... mmmmh, let's say a megalomaniac proto-mystic... better the various Pontalis, Starobinski, Laplanche (Franchi and Freudini, at least)... As for the rest, this thing about the Anal Surfers is quite captivating... but the morphing, very sheepish and pathognomonic of the cover is nice (does that similar face of E.T. appear to us deliberately or is it just me seeing it, as a poorly repressed childhood trauma??!!).

"Machine Gun" is a track that would teach Reznor's blabbermouth how he could have profitably spent the last 10 years if only he hadn't plugged his ears to his superego; ) The review is well-structured and reasoned... oh yes, to posterity the difficult verdict (but I won't go back on my opinion, especially since, looking ahead, I consider "Dummy" precisely their least intriguing work).

Antoine broke my flute back then with this post-Daviesian past-oriented avant-garde... "We should seek a more situational cogency," I suggested to him... Antoine told me this was pure post-jazz ontology... "Exactly, nothing ontic!!!" I replied... Yet he kept smearing me with his repeated listens... NOW (et alborat) 3 rece 3 in consecutio are excessively lubricating me!!!

Everything was going magnificently until I stumbled upon an Animal Collective that tried to fringe my bush and even more below. The name at least sounds promising; those of autoextinction as an imminent prospect seem to have come to terms with it. When even the various Panda Bears belong to the ranks of the extinct species, I could face the issue with less circumspection. And if we add Grizzly Bears to the mix... it feels like I’m at a gathering of rather hairy pedophiles... Brrrrrrr, I’m getting cold!!!

Oh, schizophrenia, it's that kind of pre-ejaculatory "memento" that hits you every time you realize you've put it in the wrong orifice? ;)
