Downloaded simultaneously, but it's definitive, for the first time (in my case) the duo beats the trio... bought "Hesperus" by 5ive (best rock of the year, at the moment), it gives some meat even to the Ufi, and they don't even have a bass!!!...

Here, brave one, is another masterpiece like the namesake of Trans AM (in 2002)... I mention this just to connect it to what was expressed in the review of "...Trail of Dead" by VortexSurfer... ; )

I, on the other hand, as a bad Northerner, hate the way we underestimate the potential of white blends (always very acidic and young, just how you like it... and I only save the Arnais from Piedmont and, above all, Gavi)... while the fruitiness of Salento Chardonnays is a spectacle (but even the Trebbiano Gran Riserva, possibly "Illuminati", has its good points, not democratic)... it’s just that I then have to deal with my conscience (named "wallet") and... around here, we say "Bianco vin da femene"...... were we talking about musical harmonies???!!! I don't mind the Castelli di Jesi...

I’ve never liked the sensationalism that characterized every release after "Maxinquaye" ("Nearly God" was a colossal misfire, because I bought it...), but this time he’s spat out a nice jagged outline that reminds me of the good times... Tricky Kid manages to keep (at a distance) the shots of the geographically neighboring Portishead in this 2008... not an easy thing to do!!!

I brought them up (Klaxons) in terms of media "Hype," not sound... just like the "MGMT"... (and I wanted to clarify that the term "fuffa," regarding them, came out spontaneously... so I apologize to messere "Psycho," who I hope doesn't come across this page, for the unintentional plagiarism... see his first comment on the review of "MGMT"... to which I obviously associate myself)... getting back to the trivialities (Enter Shikari), I saw them live by chance last year in Belgium, and putting aside the tacky factor, they not only kicked ass, but were also super approachable, coming down to dance (the singer and, "none other than" the drummer) among (and with) the front rows during the sampled "dance" interludes... a point of honor to these kids!

Just the intro... so absolutist... ok, all nice albums (mmmmh, maybe the ones from the '70s, but "Back in Black" is already enough for me as a "nunmecagàercazzo" for the '80s), no one, however, represents ME in personal tastes... moreover (I've never been a fan of Muse) "Origin of Symmetry" is surpassed by at least 2 other releases from the same band in terms of listenability... P.S.: this is my nighttime and semi-serious side, anyway I don't like either De Sade or von Sacher-Masoch... so you owe me a nice score ; )

I'm not rating the album because it's still growing (currently it's worth a 4)... but originally it disappointed me a bit, as it seemed like a rather blatant return to the Atlantis period (and I consider the "initiation" trilogy from Ipecac their peak)... but Buzz is Buzz and even when he seems to be pulling your leg, he actually throws out quite a few intelligent things (well disguised among the farts, like the two drums, which at first you only hear during the staggered breaks... but then there's a reason for them too), and "Suicide in Progress" may be a bit of a crowd-pleaser, but it hits the spot (especially after the sickly "droneage" of "Dies Iraea").

Just a small note... the violence of the early Swans is undeniable (or rather, explicitly manifest), but I wouldn't use the term "uncontrolled" for them... with Gira, anyway, you can easily forgive the folk/songwriter drift (a piece like "In My Garden," 21 years ago, was, in its own way, already that)... but if Akron/Family or Devendra Banhart come up, it might become clear what you think of the current folk neo-conjugations... (give me Gira... something else ; ) (3.5).

I like it, and I originally found them very pompous when they lost themselves (that is, lacking that expressive substance that for me must go hand in hand with the presumed grandeur of the proposal); they lightened up and gained something... a friend of mine said to me: "Listen to it, it sounds a lot like 'White Pony', but more ethereal and at the same time shadowy" (not literally, but that was the gist of the conversation)... and I initially thought: "See, well, you know how many times I've heard that story associated with albums that turned out to be fluff?!!!..." ...Well, in a certain sense, I must admit that he was right this time.
